On 17 and 18 February the MADFORWATER partners gathered again, this time in beautiful Basel for the last project meeting. During this meeting the general progress of the project was discussed, as well as the last steps we needed to complete before the project comes to an end in May 2020.
Discussions, updates and presentations
On the first day the focus was on the pilot plants and capacity building activities. An update on each of the pilot plant locations was discussed, and each pilot plant presented the final update on the installation and first results by using the new technologies.
The second day all partners participated in an interactive policy recommendations session and heard more about the water management strategies and exploitation. The production of the video’s was discussed, as well as the main conclusions on the stakeholder consultation workshops. In the afternoon the focus was on the deadlines for the last deliverables and communication and dissemination activities. We concluded the meeting with a word from the head coordinator Prof. Dario Frascari and a workshop to create videos for everyone.
Visit to the IEC experimental wastewater treatment plant and laboratories
On the first day we all also visited the IEC experimental wastewater treatment plant and laboratories. The installation and start-up of this treatment plant is currently in progress, so we had the opportunity to see the train of multiple integrated treatment technologies up close.
